Fishing Pole: First Blood

Brian is back with another awesome chess video. This time he takes a look at game between  GM Walter Browne (2500) and Coloradan Francisco Baltier (1500). The game is played during a simultaneous exhibition, given by GM Browne, at the 25th Sands Regency Western States Open. Brian's pet opening, the Fishing Pole, which was shown to him by IM Jack Young, was Baltier's weapon of choice.  Baltier, who works for Raytheon, along with some other Colorado chess players, teaches kids to play chess.  Occasionally he would accidentally, or on purpose, drop his queen to those kids and still win.  He would then show the game to his co-workers... click for more >>
